Townies Releases New Single “Medicine”

Sleep deprived, but very excited to welcome Boston/LA's Townies to We're Trying! Along with this excellent news, the band also just released their new single "Medicine".

“Medicine” has hints of twinkling riffage to which midwest-emo inspired open tunings lend themselves, but the track flows in a more stable rock framework that hopefully foreshadows the  rest of the new album. The song is a reflection on the relationship between young adults and the endless supply of drugs they depend on. From prescribed medication to basic caffeine and alcohol and of course the more intense stuff. It’s impossible to be 25 and not see the stuff around you all the time, and the different effects it has on people, for better or worse.
