Twin Beds Releases Second Single from ‘Big Sky’; “Piña Colada (The Escape Song)

Philly’s Twin Beds is back with the second single from their upcoming album – Big Sky!

The new track “Piña Colada (The Escape Song)” is a subconscious world where anything can happen offers itself as an escape to one living in a dissatisfactory reality. In the waking world, boredom and disillusion overpower one’s sensibilities, the unintended result of a numbing overconsumption of fictional worlds.

With a heavy dose of cynicism amidst otherwise upbeat pop-punk riffage, “Piña Colada” is a song about the dreams that transport us to these worlds - but also the fears that make us want to stay there at all costs. When you feel nothing but boredom and apathy, what else is there to do besides live in a fantasy?
